Who we are

CHIZARAM OGAZI HOPE AND AID FOUNDATION (COHAAF) is a non profitable and non political entity registered under the law. It is founded by Barr. (Mrs.) Chizaram Queenette Ogazi, with the cardinal object of improving the well being of the less privileged in rural communities as commanded by Almighty God to "Love your neighbor" in the Holy Book - Mark 12: 31. The organization is built on the principle of identifying and reaching out to them with care and material support.

COHAAF is a beacon of light and hope to the needy- particularly the widows, children and those that are affected by social discriminations.

Our Mission

Is to improve the lives of lots - the needy in our midst by providing resources and equipping them with necessary skills and empowerment in every day living.

Our Vision

Is to that the needy, orphans and widows within the community are being helped and taken care of.

A compassionate drive for lasting impact

In a world where challenges abound, a compassionate drive for lasting impact is the catalyst for meaningful change. It's the spark that ignites the flame of hope, inspiring individuals and communities to strive for a brighter future.

Compassion is more than just a feeling; it's a call to action. It's recognizing the struggles of others and taking steps to alleviate their suffering. Compassion builds bridges, fosters empathy, and creates a sense of belonging.

Our commitment to serving humanity

Our specific aim and objectives includes:

🔹To build orphanage homes and homes for the elderly.
🔹To take care of poor widows/widowers in rural areas.
🔹To raise orphaned children and care for the elderly.
🔹To build social amenities in rural communities.
🔹To fight against exploitation, injustice and corruption if found against any individual, class and society.
🔹To provide help to people affected by natural calamities such as flood, earthquake, motor, air, sea and railway accidents.
🔹To provide free legal advice/representative to the poor. Lastly, to care for the abused girl/boy child.

What does this mean for us, our donors and the recipients of our donations?

Today

Historically, we have acted as a bridge between the local community and the organisations carrying out charity work in different parts of the world.

Tomorrow

Chizaram Ogazi Hope And Aid Foundation will continue to raise funds for the projects we have been involved with for many years. In addition, we aim to explore other areas which we have been unable to in the past.

We are all familiar with and have repeatedly heard the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ that; we should give food to the hungry, shelter to those who have none, and clothes to the poor. When we visit the sick and those who are in prison, it is as if we were doing these things for Him instead. He promises that as we do these things, we will inherit His kingdom. (See Matthew 25:34–46.)

As we are called to love one another, we should help others in need as we are able to assist them, whether by physical offerings or spiritual prayer requests (2 Corinthians 9:7).

The importance of Charity

Charity is an essential part of Christian faith, reflecting God's love and compassion. By embracing biblical principles and examples, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

At COHAAF, we don't wish charity to be just an annual tick box exercise, or a last minute solution when difficulty afflicts us or when a humanitarian disaster occurs. It is often the case where we donate and then forget.

Rather than being reactive in our donations, let us try to be proactive in our daily lives. At COHAAF our vision; is to the needy, orphans and widows within the community are being helped and taken care of. Our mission; is to improve the lives of lots; the needy in our midst by providing resources and equipping them with necessary skills and empowerment in order to incorporate the act of giving into our lives, whether it be daily, weekly, or monthly.
